If you have an item backordered with us, you can view the current status by logging in to your account and clicking 'View Order'. The most recent update that we have been provided - including estimated despatch time - will be displayed here.
Currently, there are extended waiting times for many books so to give you the best chance of receiving the item you have ordered, we will not automatically cancel a backorder, unless we are told explicitly that it is no longer available.
You'll have the option to cancel the order to receive a refund from your order page, unless your order qualified for free shipping or a promotional code was used. In these instances, we'll need to process a cancellation for you, so don't hesitate to contact us at uk.support@bookshop.org if this would be best for you.
