While digital books are generally not returnable or refundable, an ebook you purchase from Bookshop.org is eligible for a refund if it is damaged or corrupted or otherwise unreadable.

In order to be eligible for a refund, we must receive your request within two days of the date of purchase. In certain cases, at our sole discretion, we will refund Digital Books that we can confirm are substantially fraudulent, infringing or AI-generated.

When we process a refund for an ebook, we’ll disable your access to the ebook (and it will be deleted from your ‘My Digital Wishlist’). If you find that an ebook you purchased no longer is useable because of changes in technology outside of our control (for example, because you bought a new device that does not support our file formats, or because the manufacturer’s firmware upgrade renders the ebook unusable on that particular device), you are not entitled to a refund but you will still be able to access the ebooks you have purchased on any device that has a web browser.
